I don't like the idea of leaving the caches only in established groves. Mainly because in the overall grand scheme of things, there just aren't that many groves. It would be really limiting.
Keep in mind that I put the cache up BEFORE all this discussion took place.
Moss- I like your proposed requirements. When I chose the box I chose, I opted for bright orange. I was simply thinking of ease of finding it. I didn't even consider the idea of making it blend in. I did abide by the rest of your requirements. My friends kept trying to get me to put a chocolate bar in there!
Icabod- I didn't think about the squirrell chewing cords thing. I'm just gonna cross my fingers on that one!
As far as leaving no trace? Good point. How does geocaching tie in with all that. I think part of it is that I will not hesitate to go take the thing back when it's no longer being used.
It'll be interesting to see what becomes of all this...
