Climbing instruction in Iowa was created by tsiefert

I'm new to tree climbing and will get the recommended books but I'd also like to get some instruction. Does anyone know of instructors in Iowa or nearby states?

Also, where is the best place to buy gear, books, videos, etc,?

What videos do you recommend?

As a noob climber myself let me be the first to recommend Mr. Jenkin's new video Tree Climbing Basics available in the TCI store. It is a fantastic introduction to recreational tree climbing and I highly, highly recommend it. As far as books, The Tree Climbers Companion by jeff Jepson would be the one I would get. It is inexpensive and packed with good information.
