This also might be helpful, from Tree Buzz. It talks about using both open and closed hitches in split tails. (At least I hope this is the link. The computer I'm on won't open pdf's.) As always, when trying something new, be sure to practice "low and slow" until you're comfortable and confident with your new setup.
