I am curious to know what safety gear you have to wear in your respective countries.
In the UK we have to wear all round protection chainsaw trousers, helmet with ear defenders and mesh face shieldand also chainsaw boots. (this is if we are working up a tree)
its the same here in BC, Canada. the WorkSafe Board dictates: chainsaw pants, helmet, face visor (metal mesh), ear muffs, chainsaw gloves, chiansaw rated boots.
In the USA, we follow similar safety measures when working in a tree. I usually wear a helmet with ear protection and a face shield, chainsaw-resistant pants, and steel-toe boots. Gloves and eye protection are also a must for me. Safety is really important, especially when climbing and using chainsaws.
