Looking For Manual was created by oldtimer
Tom D, I am looking for a place to download a copy of the repair manuals for a Homelite 330 saw. Yes, I know this is not a professional saw but it is my neighbors's pride and I get to use it for free. I would like to replace the chain bar and clutch drum sprocket (Chain gear) but want to see the manual before I ruin it permanently or have to take it to the professional shop to get it done right. I saw on the Treebuzz site one of the guys has old saws manuals posted but could not find the link easily for this one. (Maybe is not there!)
Thanks for any suggestions.

Replacing a drive sprocket isn't that difficult. You have to remember that they are reverse threaded so when you want to remove the sprocket you'tighten' the wrench so to speak.

If youi'd like, I can go through the way that I would remove sprockets. But that would take a while and you still wouldn't have the manual.

If you go to the Chainsaw section of TB and make a post, someone should be able to point you in the right direction.

Another source is go http://gypoclimber.com/treehouse/index.php

and look in the chainsaw forum Mangus is THE MAN for old saws.

Have you tried Google to get the manual?

Another good site with a lot of info is www.forestryforum.com

They have a section just on Chainsaws - and there are a lot of guys on there who collect old saws - including the list owner.
