I just discovered that BBC's Countryfile programme did return to the ancient Yew Tree we abseiled to in Wales in June, not with me unfortunately but with ancient tree hunter Rob McBride. Here's the link:

Nice video. Very Interesting idea of the registry. I wonder how they came up with the 100K trees needed before the registry gets accredited. What happens if they only manage to find 99,999 trees.
Does that mean they do not need protection???? Uhmmmm!

Ours is such a small, densely populated country - there's almost no wilderness at all so it's incredible that 100,000 ancient trees could have gone unnoticed!
