Good afternoon,

Apologies if this is placed in the wrong location however I am after some help if possible.

I am not a tree climber nor do I know anything about it. However my sister is currently studying Russian translation and she is stumped with the translation for a picture.

It looks to me like some sort of tree/pole climbing equipment. However she needs to know exactly what this bit of equipment is called. If it has a technical name that would be brilliant, if it has a slang name or something that only professionals would call it then even better!

I don't know if the fact that she is translating from Russian would make any difference??

Many thanks in advance for any help you kind people may be able to offer

Mike

The second photo looks like a component in a proprietary ascending system. The system looks very specific/unique, there is no generic name for it, nothing like it in the west that I know of. I think you'll need a Russian speaker to tell you what it is in English.
