Good Friday was very lucky for me. I camped under the full moon with a camera strapped to a nearby limb focused on my treeboat. Using a remote shutter release I shot photos under the various lighting conditions as the gorgeous moon moved across the sky.

National Geographic chose to publish one of the photos on their web site under their Daily Dozen photographs! See March 26 (Week 4) between the penguin and horse photos:

They publish 240 on the web site out of 5000 submissions each month. Of those 240 they choose 2 to publish in the magazine based on voting results (see Voting Machine).

Don, That is very nice photo. The light is very impresive and the pose is so natural. Hope it gets picked up by the magazine for publication. Good Job!

Really nice shot. I tried to give your pic an 11.5 but the ratings only go to 10.

That photo would make a really nice catalog or DVD cover - You reading this Pete and Patty? - Sophia?

Everyone vote! How great would it be to see a tree climber in a worldwide publication?! Besides, (with no political conotation) It'll be good practice for November!

Keep looking up,
Baker

It's gonna intrigue the heck out of anyone who's never heard of tree camping before!

Nice one B)
