Anyone interested in a drumming circle at the rendezvous...on the ground or aloft?

Aloft would seem to be the most appropriate.

There should be plenty of sticks around...my head is hollow enough to make a good drum :D

Strong limbs and single ropes!

I am new to drumming, but ever since i went to the first one ive thought how cool it would be to do this IN a tree, or under a tree, FOR a tree and WITH a tree! Ive started a collection of misc sound making items for people to take aloft...should this opportunity come about.
Bring 'em if ya got em, grab one if ya dont!
Didge....VERY cool! Tom...put some beans in there (your head) and shake it!

Always up for drumming, don't have one to bring. Follow the lead of woodpeckers and find a resonant dead branch to hammer on.

Great idea!! Sound carries great distances while in the treetop. I suggest differet percussion instruments be brought along. I'll bring a few myself. I used to be an avid drummer back in the 60's. Always wanted to do a tree to tree sound beat with other percussionists.

Waving from a treetop,

Just to close out this thread. Things got out of hand. Apparently a wheel barrel was introduced into the drumming circle. Later a rap edition of the theme song from "Gilligan's Island" broke out, "Sit right back and hear a tale....a tale of a fateful trip...schhhhht...tt...schhhhht...tt..."

I have no recollection of the alleged abuse of the wheelbarrel whatsoever....

It did have kind of an interesting tin can gong sound to it. Two wheel barrels at once was even better.

I facilitated a climb for a professional percussionist yesterday. He was so happy with his climb that he offered lessons in exchange. I hope to be more than ready for next years 'vous, bring your hands ready to drum or your legs ready to dance! Or retreat to the cabin tavern and enjoy at a safe distance.

Thanks to Becki for bringing her nice drums to the 07 'vous!

Agreed. WildHare set up by the fire and worked magic with her subtle technique. We were most fortunate.
