How to post photos on the TCI board

Every once in a while this question comes up. I think I already wrote this up but can't find it. Here's the rewrite. For the younger whippersnappers this can be done in your sleep but some of us ancient folks don't know a keyboard from a can opener.

How to post a photo on TCI
Method 1 (the easiest)
1. Select the forum you want to post in
2. Click the "New Topic" button on the upper right
3. On the "New Topic" form look at the bottom of the page for the text "Attachment".
4. Just to the right of "Attachment" click on the "Browse" button
5. Click and navigate to the photo file on your computer, click "Open".
6. Type your post in the text entry box, the photo will appear below the text in the final posting.

Method 2 (external photo hosting)
1. Register on a photo sharing site like Flickr.com
2. Post your photo on the photo sharing site.
3. Copy the direct URL for the photo from the photo sharing site (not the page the photo is on). Some photo share sites do not allow this, Flickr does.
4. Creat a new topic on the TCI board
5. Click on the yellow "Insert Photo" button (4th from the right) in the "Formating Mode" section.
6. Paste the direct URL for the photo into the text entry field that pops up.

And please don't make your photos so large it changes the size of the text boxes! grrrr i hate that!

I have no idea what size the photo I am posting is or better yet if I did know so what. I don't know how to change it. Any help>?

One way to find out the size of your photo (if you are using a Windows PC) is to open it with you web browser, right click on the photo as it appears in your web browser, select "Properties", the pixel dimensions will be shown.
