Went up the other night. SRT using Petzl paired ascenders. (I have it tied at the highest possible crotch in this Tuliptree - about 82 ft. Very flexy. But I'm light so it's OK.) Wind was howling. Gusts had to be peaking at around 40-45 mph. Temp was down to around 40* real, but the chill factor was on. But I'm talking wind. I mean, I was swinging around, bumping into the branches and all manner of cambium. And I just had to let out a couple hoots, because it was a rush.

So, I didn't recognize the feeling at first. I just started to feel lousy. But I've been on a couple deep sea trips, and then I realized. S hit, I'm seasick. Being tossed about so much, I was getting nauseous. So I came down with a Herman Munster hitch/descender combo.

And then I went up again! Ha!

Here's a little video I took while doing a fun climb yesterday in heavy winds. No seasickness, fortunately, but I did have to hang on pretty tight to keep from getting blown around.
