Beginners climbing course

Went to the May 21, 22 class. Had a great time, learned a lot. Would recommend it to anyone.

Hi Ed,
You were basically self taught from Jeff Jepson’s book when you took the course. You had some basic skills already under your belt. What did you learn that was useful at the TCI school?

The main thing I learned was a "climbing system". It started with "muscle memory" in tieing knots. Next was safely climbing. Know every time before I leave the ground I say to myself "BACK". Lastly were the numerous tips I learned to manuver once in the tree. Reading books and message boards can only get you so far, nothing can replace hands on class room training.
