Climbing in Seward park??

Hello all! I've just recently relocated to Seattle, WA... as I am currently seeking employment, I've got loads of spare time I went for a short hike in this place called Seward park (a little peninsula in Lake Wash.) and I was wondering if any of those lovely trees were open to climbing? Or, if there are any parks or good forests (or people!) that are good for climbing or good to climb with in the area? thanks!

Nobody climbs in the Seattle, or surrounding areas? I'd rather not do a first climb on a big conifer alone

Try posting on the treebuzz.com rec climbing board, there are some Seattle area climbers who've posted there.

Maybe this will shame some TCI board Seattle climbers out of the closet

I think Coonrad is just west of Seattle, he's posted within the last couple of months.

Mateo, in the meantime I'll bet you can find some east coast size trees to climb. Big Leaf Maple for instance, very interesting tree.

My impression from the small amount of climbing that I've done recently in Portland, OR and Bellingham, WA is that people are very generally very tolerant of climbers, just don't carry a saw on your harness, that might get people upset.
