It's a rock climbing harness. Harnesses are for fall protection, saddles are for sitting in for extended periods. Surely you're not thinking of buying one for trees, are you? Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suspension_trauma

No, I was investigating the availability of buckles for 2 inch webbing and I asked the seller why the buckles were only rated 3000lbs and he pointed me to the link below and suggested that 23kN wasn't really relevant.

These guys go in the direction of 10kN. They even sell 10kN rope.

It's not tree climbing :-) Would you (theoretically) feel comfortable rescuing another tree climber by attaching them to the rope you're hanging on if your rope was rated 10kn? I've yet to meet an experienced tree climber that thinks it's a good idea to lower the generally accepted minimum strength rating of tree climbing ropes to less than 22/23kn.
