grigri and grillon was created by coonrad
anybody know if the grigri that comes with the grillon lanyard is modified or any different than the plain ol' grigri that can be ordered seperately?

If I get a grigri I'd like to be able to use it for all its purposes, belay, descend, lanyard, etc...

thanks,
coonrad

Guys, I'm still getting used to this message board, but here it is. There is an important difference between the two. The Grillon is a Gri Gri like device with the lanyard installed. The main difference in the hardware is a screw, installed near the pivot pin through the cover. It's impossible to get the lanyard out without first removing the screw. Also, the cover is stamped 'Grillon'. The lanyard has a working end which comes out through the top, closer to the hole for the biner, and the free end which comes out near the base of the handle, and it needs to be threaded correctly
