Here's where I'll ask your opinion.

I have my old 9mm High Climb Dynamic rope.
I do mean old.. 20 years.. Yet always kept 'high & dry'.
Only 2 falls, blown out of a over-hang twice.

I'm thinking of cutting it to use as lanyard and ascent aids. Has to still be good for 'cord', no..

I would hate to use it as just a 'haul line'.
But, if that's what it comes down to..

Your thoughts?

I'd put a 20 year-old used rope aside and reserve it for non life support use.

That's where I'm at with it.

I have a section for 'traverse' lanyard, couple sections went to a good friend for 'Dock line'. What he was about to use would have torn the cleats off his boat and that new 24ft Hunter of his doesn't deserve that.
Besides, I get to sail her!!

I made a Schwabisch from a section, a little big yet works well.
9mm (old) over 6mm (new), I'm thinking (as I run numbers) I still pretty even..
And the 6mm is cleaner and smooth running.

It has served me so well in the past..
It's hard to cut her up..

Thank you for your reply.
