Hello everyone!

New climber from Ct. looking to learn the safe way to climb.
I will be reading the forum to get a grasp on some of the best ropes and latest equipment out there.
TIA for any and all advise.

Hello Paul, and welcome to the TCI Forums! We're happy to have you here. However, if you are not yet trained to climb, please read the note at the top of this page. Tree climbing techniques are not best learned on a Forums board! Ask away about equipment, etc., but just know that the best equipment is the simplest equipment for newbies. Others will have more to say about this as you post your questions.

Hi Patty,
Yes I understand, fortunately for me we do have a rock climbing gym near by, and I do know 1 climber. Although it's not the same as trees some of the gear might be the same so I hope to learn a little there.
But I am trying to find a local club to learn from, or a climber in the area.
