Hand-made throw bags was created by benjhind
Just trace a bow-tie shape onto some fabric (this is faux-leather that was kicking around the house, it is relatively durable). Stitch around the outside, invert it, fill with lead and wrap around a D-ring and stitch it shut. Like many of my creations, they aren't pretty but they work.

Nice job on the crafting project. I have a few I made years ago out of heavy weight Cordura from ebay that are still sailing and pulling well. I doubled the fabric to increase durability. I used steel shot to make it compatible with a homemade grapnel/rare earth magnet traverse kit I also made. Something satisfying about using gear that you make yourself...
