2nd Annual Tree Climbing Gathering in Beautiful North Georgia Virgin Groves

TreeClimbers USA is hosting it's 2nd Annual Tree Climbing Gathering for fellow tree climbers, their families, and interested experiential educators and programmers on Friday the 26th to Sunday the 28th of September 2003 at Lake Winfield Scott in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia.

This pristine 18-acre lake is surrounded by the 750,000-acre Chattahoochee National Forest and offers pleasant hiking trails, camping sites and 2 of the best wild tree climbing Groves in the Southeast. One with hundreds of virgin poplars, white pines and hemlocks while the other with gigantic buckeyes and white oaks. Both Groves within a short drive of 10 minutes once our lead climber shows the way. The campground has bathrooms and showers with hot water, but no electricity or running water at the individual camping sites. Depending on the size of site required the cost per night to camp is $8-20 dollars with the money being paid to the Ranger who works for the US Forestry Service.
