The Georgia Public Television documentary "Environmental Report Card" will feature several Georgia treeclimbers who volunteered their time this summer at FDR State Park near Pine Mountain, Ga., to help restore the American Chestnut tree to the forests.

The program will be broadcast only in Georgia (and in nearby areas of surrounding states) on the dates listed below:
Oct 13, 2006 08:30 PM
Oct 14, 2006 11:30 AM
Oct 15, 2006 12:00 PM
Oct 18, 2006 07:30 PM

Here's what the www.gpb.org site says about the program: "
All news about the environment doesn't have to be bad. On this program, we take a look at how some groups are working to make our outdoors a cleaner, better place. Across Georgia, school buses are getting cleaner, kids are learning about litter prevention, and a rediscovery of the American Chestnut tree, a tree once thought permanently extinct from our landscape gives new hope to the future. Plus we look at some ways you can help conserve around your house such as composting."
