Neat piece of kit!!

I recently switched from a prusik/micro pulley combo on my lanyard to this little beauty. As a lanyard positioner, the Trango takes some beating. Unlike the prusik/micro pulley this thing grabs rope every time,no more setting of temperamental hitches.
Shortening is a breeze, lengthening takes a bit of finesse and practice. You can ( if you hold your mouth right ) lengthen it one handed, unloaded of course.
I have mine on a short ( 2.1m ) length of 10mm ocean polly with a ISC triple action rope snap. Very easy to use one handed.
As with everything new, practice on the ground first.
Climb high, Be Safe.
Peace
You could also try attaching it to the side D with a twisted clevis instead of a biner. It will keep the device closer to you and rotate it for easier hand position when using the lever to lengthen.
