The Piranha doesn't bite!

Being formally trained using a rescue 8, It took me a while to purchase one of these. I'm really glad I did. The Petzl Piranha can be a very useful tool for tree climbing.

Depending on how you configure your rope, there are 3 different friction modes, minimum. If you incorporate the horn(s) you can custom dial this device to perfectly suit your style, weight, environmental conditions, etc.

Though a bit larger than a standard climbing 8, the Piranha is considerably smaller and lighter than a rescue 8. Hang this device on your rack while you climb, and you'll never know it's there.

Lock-off is a breeze and the device feel SAFE to use with any diameter rope up to 1/2 inch.

If you use an 8 for SRT, get one of these. You won't be sorry.
