TENEX Eye & Eye Split Tail

I have used a Tenex eye&eye tail a few times. The first one I got from Sherrill a long time ago and was disapointed because it showed burned marks right away after the first use (even descending slowly). It was retired soon after that. Now I use one as a Lanyard prusik adjuster and it works great in that set up. It basically stays tied to the harness all the time. Recently I have used one Tenex split tail I made with Nick's assistance in Colorado with a Distel knot and it work ok but I am not very impressed with its performance. For more technical details read Nick explanations in the next review. There are other material alternatives for a split tail with better durability.
